Although most people know the community quoted statistic that more than half of marriages end in divorce, I was unaware that only 5% of marriages last 50 years or more. Couples married for 60 or more years is even more rare.
This article talks about a couple who are pushing 70 years of married life and apparently have become a tick tock sensation. What appears to be most emphasized for their successful marriage is the ability “to bend” or be accommodating and to truly be accepting of your partner. Not only the “good but the bad” as well.
