The Supreme Court’s recent decision will allow Idaho’s Gender Affirming Care Ban to go into effect.
This is a striking blow for the rights of transgender individuals and their families.
This ban would punish medical professionals who provide care to trans minors (regardless of the fact that their parents and healthcare providers have determined this path of health care to be medically necessary), with felony convictions, up to $5,000.00 in fines and up to 10 years in prison.
This is just another example of the extreme right Republican ideology seeking to control people, their health care choices and the choices they make for themselves and for their families.
